Designed to engage local neighborhoods in efforts to realize an economics of compassion, this work circle will partner with particular neighborhoods to use an appreciative inquiry approach to identify community strengths. It hopes to organize neighborhood residents to survey the economic landscape of their own neighborhoods, ultimately leading to alternative economics initiatives which may turn residents into producers, not just consumers. Anyone interested in joining this circle may contact either facilitator, Matthew Teeters or Margaret Weidner.
